INTRAVITREAL INJECTIONIntravitreal injection is performed in patients with wet form of macular degeneration related to age (AMD), diabetic macular edema, blood clot venous vessels. The drug is introduced by injection and inhibits the growth of abnormal blood vessels within the eye tissue by blocking growth factor vascular endothelial (VEGF). Because of this, there is a decrease of exudates within the retina. The drug is administered at intervals prescribed by the doctor. The effects of the introduction of the drug are verified using SOCT/SS OCT and fluorescein angiography |

MicroPulse Yellow LaserA function of MicroPulse delivers a burst of energy in the micrompulses mode . The one pulse time is in the range from 0.05 ms to 1.00 ms The advantage of the short duration of the wave is to limit the amount of heat coming into the tissue. In addition, the duration of the break between emissions cause a cooling of the eye area. Using this method, the doctor performing the procedure has more control over the energy that is provided in place of the treatment, which in result minimizes the risk of damage to the eye tissue.
